When we were asked to join in on a Harry Potter inspired styled wedding in Asheville, NC, we couldn’t say no. The chance to create a magical wedding invitation suite paired with a view from a popular AirBNB that I personally wanted to visit was a no brainer.
The Invitations
We were tasked with creating an elegant, but whimsical invitation suite. Our coordinator, Marissa (of Marissa Rice Events), made sure to mention that we were gearing more into subtle elements over heavy birthday party vibes. With direction and colors in hand, we got to work planning out a suite with some of our favorite elements from the series; the infamous disappearing footprints from the marauders map, the flying keys, and of course, a wand. To keep the suite subtle, we decided to blind press the wizardly elements on our letterpress. This creates an impression of each object without ink, which really plays into the magic of only seeing them in the perfect lighting. In addition to the blind press on each card, we chose to letterpress all of the text with burgundy ink.
The Venue
The property sits on mountain acreage that is just North of downtown Asheville and each of the Earth & Sky Dwellings (formerly Treehouses of Serenity) offer gorgeous sunset views. In addition to having beautiful and unique rentals, you can also plan an elopement or micro wedding with up to 12 guests on their property.
An Intimate and Magical Ceremony at Alchemy
The ceremony site for our styled micro wedding was at their Alchemy rental. Each of your guests will love entering via a spiral slide, but for those not feeling so adventurous, you can also walk around to the bottom of the rental. Once inside, you’ll find a spacious interior that’s perfect to get ready in. Our couple said their unbreakable vows in front of the secondary glamping tent, complete with floating candles.
Once our ceremony was complete, we moved up to their Wizards Hollow rental for some extra themed photos. This rental is styled after a magical castle and even has a hidden bookcase door and spiral staircase.

A Picnic Overlooking the Mountains
Since our photoshoot was a micro wedding theme, what better reception to have than a picnic. A beautiful sweetheart picnic was created by Luxury Chic Events, complete with floating keys over their cake.
